ART OF LIVING : )

These are the random thoughts of Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:

What is the purpose of our life in this world?
Some live meaning fully in this world while some may live life without purpose.
Know yourself, why you have come to this world? What is the role you have to play here?

You have come to this world: Not for worrying, not for facing troubles always,
Not to scold others, not for exhibiting your egoism, not to feel stress and strain, not to annoy others.

you come to know the purpose of your existence here, there is a dramatic change in your mode of living. We are living to know some meaning to our valuable life.

Ask yourself why I am not being in happy mood? Why I am getting angry? Why things are not going as I wish?

Such type questions make you to look into your inner self. This introspection makes you feel that you now understand something.
You are under the illusion that you know everything.

But if anybody asks you what you understand about life, no reply comes from you. If a man changes from the state of “that I know all to a state of knows nothing ” it means you are on the path of understanding the meaning of your birth on this earth. It is called the state of enlightenment.

If anything is beyond the human knowledge, it indicates it is the divinity.

The wonderful thing is man cannot properly understand his own mind. It is strange to hear but true fact. Swamiji advises us to understand the life in the above angle and lead a happy and successful life, by coming close to GOD.

You don’t know what is happening in your mind which is like a roller coaster- it is a crowd.

Our life is a mystery, beautiful, wonderful- so live it happily and peacefully.

I always remember this truth when I mentally try to find a way to escape from something that seems too hard for me. I think then: “I am escaping, not overcoming.”
