Q: I have absolutely no LIFE in me as I feel pulled in various directions. Both my husband and I seemed to be layered with more and more responsibilities . Our 25 yr old son is a constant challenge for us. Luckily he is not married, otherwise the challenge would be doubled ( two for the price of one as you would put it).
A: answer….
If you remember mom I had mentioned in one of talks that even if our son is Rama or Krishna they have made the lives of their respective parents miserable. Sons are made for that purpose so that we focus our attention to some thing worthwhile. this is a blessing that you have every reason to go spiritual. in fact daughters are the best who take care of the parents all through the life. Any way take life as it comes and Be happy.

Q: I am trying to be a sincere seeker at best of my ability and even analyse on day today basis. But constant struggle shakes my faith at times. Initially i accepted it as prarabdh and sanchit karma but it seems to be lasting hurdle.I want to establish in total faith inspite of anything.
A: answer…
Faith is the inner strenght in the field of uncertainties and ignorance. We know nothing about our future. hence let us belive that all that is happening is for our ultimate good. Let us not look at the life too closely. Let us take the full picture of our life and see how the past so called terrible events have passed and this present will also pass away.

KRISHNA : )

Why Krishna? Krishna means Shyam, the dark One and not exactly black.
It is said that Krishna was born on the dark night of Ashtami, hence he came
to be called Krishna.
‘Krishna’, apart from the well-known meaning ‘the dark One’, also has another meaning ‘the attractive One’. The Sanskrit root is ‘karsh’ which means ‘to pull’, ‘to attract’, which has come down to Hindi and other Indian languages in words like ‘akarshan’.

—————-From a religious discourse
*

As long as you have attachment to the body and attachment to objects, fear and suffering will be with you. Therefore Krishna told Arjuna to develop his discrimination and rid himself of body consciousness. He told him that once he was free of body consciousness he would be able to develop integral vision. Embodiments of Love, Mankind today has three types of vision. The first is body-oriented vision, which is totally superficial. When you have this kind of vision you see only the external appearance of others, such as the clothes and the ornaments they wear, their facial features, their body characteristics, their peculiarities of speech, etc. This type of vision is oriented only towards the phenomenal world. The second kind of vision is insightful vision.

The kingdom of my mind is begrimed with ignorance. By steady rains of diligence in self-discipline may I remove from my cities of spiritual carelessness the ancient debris of delusion.

KRISHNA’S RAAS LEELA : )

Excerpt form an article “Divine Raas Leela of unconditional love”

                           – by SEEMA BURMAN

‘Sharad’ means winter and ‘mahotsav’ is festival. Though this is the month of Phalgun, it was in Sharad on a full moon night that millennia ago in Vrindavan a dance of love was performed by Krishna, a child of seven years and the gopis. This came to be known as ‘raas leela’.

Swami Vivekananda said that the raas leela is an external ex-pression of divine leela which takes place in the heart of each and every individual, between the finite and the universal soul. Unless we have unflinching love and faith, Krishna and his life would always baffle us.

Take for instance Radha’s love. So enchanted was Krishna with Radha’s love, pure and divine, that He wished to experience it Himself. Radha told Krishna to incarnate so that she could infuse ‘Radha bhava’ in that incarnation. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is believed to be Krishna’s incarnation with Radha Bhava.

Only those who become “mad” with love can understand the love of gopis who are the personification of unconditional love.

(Yesterday was Holi. It was also Sri Chaitanya’s birthday)

March 12                                                                                             Will Power

To create dynamic will power, determine to do some of the things in life that you thought you could not do. Attempt simple tasks first. As your confidence strengthens and your will becomes more dynamic, you can aim for more difficult accomplishments. Be certain that you have made a good selection, then refuse to submit to failure. Devote your entire will power to mastering one thing at a time; do not scatter your energies nor leave something half done to begin a new venture.
